Decided to combine a sale with one of Cryptic Coatings blemished products to get a pretty good deal compared to the full priced bcgs. All I can say is "WOW". The blemish is just cosmetic, as the say, and function is phenomenal. Now that I've tested the waters, I am sold for any future projects (and past ones). The question is, "Are they worth the steep price charged?". Absolutely, probably. Idk, I like mine. KY Jelly has nothing on this coating. Captain Kangaroo on 1st Jul 2019
Just got my second Cryptic blem and still can't find what's wrong. I ordered the blue this time just for aesthetics and was a little surprised when I opened the package. The blue isn't the light gray blue in the picture but rather a midnight blue that looks black under artificial litght. Maybe that was the blem but I like it. These bcgs are my new goto. Solid, slick, uniform build and slick and did I mention slick.
My only wish so far is that the .308/6.5 Creedmoor bolts were offered in the high pressure versions with reduced diameter firing pin tip as made by JP and Fulton.
On top of everything else these folks are great to deal with. Like making new friends. Bob on 25th Jun 2019
when received in the mail , your in awe at the product . you cannot see the "blemish" anywhere . for the money you save , id buy blemished all day long. thank you again for a great product . Black Cactus Armory on 15th Jun 2019
Ordered a blem BCG and took two of us searching with bright lights to find what we thought may have been blems. To be honest I feel like it is as good as new. Love the customer support and delivery times. Billy on 5th Jun 2019
I own several Cryptics and this one is as good as the regular stock. The finish may not be up to the usual standard but isn't obviously flawed. This one went into my LR308 SPR and function was flawless as usual. Unknown on 5th Jun 2019
Does not scratch, gall, mark minimal lubrication, finish is amazing...literally taking a paper towel to clean off all carbon after 500 rounds fired! Amazing!!! Big Ed on 4th Jun 2019
I have four BCGs from cryptic coatings and all of them are flawless; including this one, which was sold to me as a blem. My first build has a cryptic NiB bcg/bolt with more than 12k rounds though it and no issues at all. Cryptic Coatings' products are now utilized in my duty rifle, as well. Andrew on 4th Jun 2019
Seems like a quality BCG. I was expecting a bit more of a polished finish but as long as it cleans up good and runs smooth I'm happy. Unknown on 4th Jun 2019
Got the mystic silver one. The blem was hard to find, but I guess that if you paid the normal money for a bcg and found a blemish, one might be upset so it's understandable. The blem affects no function and it's not visible from the outside when installed in a firearm. Works as intended. I honestly couldn't tell the difference in the smoothness between it and the mystic black I have. That is to say, if you're torn between the two but want to flex with silver, go silver. I ordered a "blemished" Mystic Bronze, and it looks just as good in person as the pictures on the website. I can't even see the imperfection that they're calling a blemish. Max on 8th Apr 2019
